Marketing Email and Social Posts

These samples, prepared as student assignments in the American Writers and Artists Institute (AWAI) “B2B Copywriting Mastery” professional development course, were for a fictitious manufacturer of commercial refrigerators.

 

My marketing email copy was one of five finalist entries competing for a $1,000 honorarium, evaluated by Steve Slaunwhite and Lisa Christoffel.

 

The objectives of, and constraints on, each assignment:

  • Marketing email copy: 350 words or fewer, enticing independent restaurant owners to visit Chill-o-Matic’s trade show exhibit and redeem an exclusive, emailed discount offer. View the email copy.
  • Sponsored Facebook post: Target restaurant owners with a time-limited discount offer, highlighting product benefits and including a compelling CTA. 50 words or fewer, with up to 10 words integrated with the image. Both concepts were created with Canva, Photoshop and DALL-E. Primary concept (“Move Fast”). | Alt concept (“Dead Weight”).
